Come and meet us, give it a try and see what Scottish Country Dancing is all about
RSCDS Cheltenham was started in 1958 to provide classes in Scottish Country Dancing in the town. More than 60 years later we are still an enthusiastic group who enjoy Dancing Scottish together.
As well as being a branch of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society and furthering their aims of promoting Scottish Country dancing and music, we are a registered charity in our own right with the aim of teaching and promoting participation in Scottish Country dancing and all the benefits which come with this activity.
We run a series of classes for all abilities which provides an opportunity to improve our dancing technique and style and knowledge of dances. By increasing our confidence we can enjoy the social dances we organise throughout the dancing season (September-June) as well as those organised by local groups and groups further afield.
We are run by an elected committee who work with our teachers to ensure the smooth running of the classes. We also organise a programme of varied social dances to give an opportunity for dancers of all abilities the chance to dance together.
Our Elected Committee comprises:
Chairman (term - 1 year)
4 Ordinary Members - with special roles such as ticket sales and promotion.
Our teachers (Ex-officio)
The committee would like to stress that they are always open to new ideas and help in organising events is always welcome. Please discuss any ideas with a committee member or use the Contact Us form.

Celebrating 60 years of dancing in 2018
If you would like us to bring our version of Scottish Country Dancing to you please contact us.
We can show you how much fun it is to dance together but we are keen to give everyone the chance to have a go. In the past we have brought Scottish Country Dancing to Schools, Residential Homes, Youth Groups, Summer Fairs, Burn's Night and St Andrews Day Celebrations and Weddings.
Again, contact us to discuss the type of event you are running and how we can help.
